Yeah, its been a while…!
I decided to kick-start my blog again by putting all my cliffhangers together in one place. And by repeating my Sim-holidays tradition of a post without words, and a big family portrait – Serdar’s family this time. It’s a complicated family, so here’s a who’s-who:
Back: April Newson; Christine, Anna and Chris Green, with Jessica; Leo Depiesse; Aaron & Mari Green; Cory & Sam Green. Second/Sitting: Riley Green; Marsha Green; Helen Depiesse; Brandi & Serdar Green; Rose, Corinne & Noah Green. Front/Floor: Joel Green; Kody & Steven London (Mari’s son), with Stacey in front; Marina & Jody Green; Lizzie Bonacorrd.
And the other stories: Danny Tarro; Melissa Green; ???? (my first in-game teen pregnancy) – all I’m going to say on that one is that she’s in the family photo. There are actually three pregnant women in that photo, although I’m not saying who the other two are at this point. But, yeah, baby boom for Serdar’s family.
Outtakes: For anyone wondering why Sam is sulking on the sofa in the first picture of Cory’s family – this is how Christmas really started in their home:
Cory didn’t take it well:
Sheeesh, all she did was poke you in the shoulder! If anyone wonders why I write him as an emotional wreck half the time, well, there you go…
On another note, apart from r/l stuff and time issues, half the reason I’ve taken so long to post is that I’m having major trouble with Blogger – the new interface doesn’t work for me, I somehow unintentionally select pictures and move them around the place…or it duplicates the picture, when all I want to do is move it... this issue only started after they deleted the old interface, I’d been using the new one by choice without trouble before that.. and in a post with this many pictures, it is maddening.
I’m currently using Windows Live Writer to create posts instead (which is why there are some minor formatting inconsistancies in here - but, sorry, I'm not going to take even more time to fix it, when its 90% ok and I'm frustrated with this already!). This would be ok, except that Live Writer periodically freezes my computer. When you’re already short of time these technical problems can take all the fun out of doing this. So, I’m looking to possibly move my blog to a different host. Not sure when, or even if, I’ll do it – I may be able to work out the problems with Blogger or at least find a workable substitute for Live Writer – but its something I’m thinking about.
I love wordless posts like these! They somehow manage to say so much!
ReplyDeleteAnd wow, that was packed full of cliff-hangery goodness, lol! I have my guesses at who found out she was preggy at the end there, considering the circumstances! I hope you post again soon though, because I need answers! :D
And yes, the new Blogger really does suck. :\
The posts without words are a fun challenge to put together. I'm actually planning to make a whole prequel without words, at some point when I get the main blog underway again. The idea's been floating around in my head for a while now.
DeleteI'm aiming for at least a post a week now, so all going well, you won't have to wait too long for the answers :)
I can't wait for more! I think I have to use the new blogger in google chrome to get it to work for me :/
ReplyDeleteAha! I used to use Chrome, and I'm using a different browser now... I never connected that with the problems with blogger, but it makes sense! Next post to be created in Chrome, thank you so much, you have hopefully saved me from doing something drastic like moving my blog!
DeleteI agree with Laura, your wordless post really manages to "say" a lot!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm usually a very 'wordy' person so it's quite a refreshing way to tell a story.
DeleteArgh, you're so evil! I'm dying to see the resolution of these cliff hangers, especially the teen pregnancy and Melissa running away! That's a credit to you that you have me so hooked, I guess. :)
ReplyDeleteThe new Blogger sucks mightily. The main thing I hate about it is how if you host your pictures anywhere other than Blogger, you have to add them to your updates one by one. I ended up copying the coding so I can just do a search and replace with the folder/file names. It still sucks though. I don't know why they had to change anything!
Ha! Nice to know I'm still evil enough to have people hooked after all this time... (*rubs hands together and laughs maniacally*) :) Don't worry, I'm not planning on keeping you waiting for months this time.
DeleteAt the moment I still have space for pictures on Blogger/Picasa, but I can see this being a real pain in the future. Still toying with the moving idea...
